IDTechEx proudly supports start-ups in many ways. Our latest initiative is an "EVES Launchpad" for Electric Vehicle and Energy Storage start-ups where they can exhibit free of charge at the large IDTechEx Show! in Berlin on 10-11 May.
The IDTechEx Launchpad will give researchers and young companies the ability to demonstrate their state-of-the-art technologies to over 3,000 people at this international event. It is FREE for eligible researchers and companies to participate. Spaces are limited to 10 exhibitor places, EVES Launchpad exhibitors will be featured in the exhibition hall, alongside an estimated 200 exhibitors.
Applicants should be early-stage start-ups, universities, newly spun-out companies, research labs and government labs who will demonstrate a working prototype or product that highlights new advances in electric vehicles or energy storage. For example, products such as supercapacitors, batteries, materials, services... anything that is part of the Electric Vehicle or Energy Storage value chain. Each entry will be judged on the demonstrator proposed to be shown, with the deadline for submissions being 3 March, 2017.
* Previous exhibitors are not eligible to apply
The panel of judges will assess each entry application based on parameters such as technical advancement and audience interest. If accepted, each entrant will receive a free exhibitor place in the IDTechEx Launchpad zone, the amount of exhibition space given to each Launchpad exhibitor will be determined by the size of the vehicle or product being exhibited. The exhibit space will also include a counter, 2 chairs, and 1 electric point if required; and two passes to the exhibition and promotion as an IDTechEx Launchpad exhibitor. A CXO or suitably knowledgeable person of the organisation must be present at the area to demonstrate the technology during the exhibition hours. Successful applicants will need to cover their own travel and lodging cost in addition to any costs of the products shown including signage.
Why are we doing this? IDTechEx recognise that it can be difficult for very small companies or research organisations to show their big advances in the traditional manner of exhibiting where no budget may be assigned. The IDTechEx EVES Launchpad initiative will give such entities the ability to reach the international audience, and for the community to see the state-of-the-art systems. Launch your technology here.
The submission should comprise of a 2 page summary/abstract along with the application, including supporting materials. It must state which demonstrators will be shown.
The closing date for submission is 3 March. Successful selected entrants will be notified on 10 March and will need to confirm their participation by 17 March.
