Dominik Berger, 40 studied electrical engineering at university of Technology in Graz and majored in electronics and communications. Before graduating in 1992, he planned and organized the start up of transputer controlled engine test benches at AVL North America Inc. in Detroit for six months. In 1992 he started to work at Mikron Austria and was initially in charge of planning and realizing contactless microprocessor smart cards. 1993 he became the assistant of the general manager of Mikron. Since 1994 he has been Product manager for Contactless Smart Cards at Mikron and from 1997 he headed the Chip Card IC Product Management Group of Philips Semiconductors. In 1999 he started as Director of Product Management of Grips Electronics, a company specialized in Casino Management systems. 2000 he was appointed as European Sales Director of Grips. In 2001 he started at Infineon

technologies being responsible for contactless strategies and concepts. In October 2001 he headeds the Product Marketing group for contactless products and RFID solutions within Infineon.

In June 2005 he founded RF-iT Solutions GmbH with partners as a Management buy out. Since then he is General Manager of RF-iT Solutions responsible for Marketing and Sales.

RF-iT Solutions GmbH was established 2005 as an Infineon management buy-out; its activities cover RFID software and services. It produces the You-R® OPEN OPerating ENvironment which is the world's leading RFID platform for system integrators. "RF-ID Enablement Packages" provides system integrators and software producers with a rapid and expert market entry to RFID. RF-iT Solutions implements reference projects in strategic market segments in order to facilitate the multiplication of solutions through certified You-R® OPEN partners in the rapidly developing RFID market. With technical services, such as studies, technology assessments, benchmarking, technology consulting and pre-sales support, RF-iT Solutions functions as the technical backbone for system integrators. The company operates the RFID Solution Excellence Center at its company office in Graz, Austria.
