DownloadsPresentation SummarySpeaker Biography (Frans van Schaik)Frans van Schaik is managing partner of Logispring. He sits on the Board of portfolio companies Apriso, Mitrix, Odyssey, Optiant, SeeWhy, Visual and Xterprise. He serves, since 1999, as Chairman of the Board of the MES Foundation. Frans is also co-founder and initial GP of Origins Venture Capital Fund for Africa. Previously, he has served as managing director of BC Industries, CEO of Rafino Holdings, general partner and director of buy-outs with Gilde Investment Funds, and managing director of Haag Food. He was founder and CEO of Intermatch and a number of ensuing start-ups, after a short stint at OCE as a project manager. From 1997-2005, Frans has been Chairman of the Board of Trustees and of the Supervisory Board of Observer. Frans is a graduate (LLM) of the University of Amsterdam Law School, The Netherlands, with a post graduate diploma in International Relations from the University of Vienna, Austria. During his studies and for a while thereafter, he had various academic and support roles at the University of Amsterdam, Faculty of Economics and the Department of European Studies.
