Company Profile (PUFCO Inc)

PUFCO is focused on a new, innovative authentication and security technology called Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs). PUFs exploit the uniqueness of the silicon itself to make each and every silicon chip unique and unclonable, and have an ability to identify and authenticate itself. PUF technology has wide ranging applications for authentication and security. One of the first commercial applications PUFCO is bringing to market is the unclonable RFID for anti-counterfeiting and secure identification and access control. PUF technology was invented at MIT by Prof. Srini Devadas. Srini and Tom Ziola, an ex-executive from Microsoft, founded PUFCO in 2005. PUFCO is funded by Khosla Ventures, and US Department of Defense agencies to develop various commercial and defense applications of PUF technology. PUFCO is based in the Silicon Valley area in California, USA.
