Speaker Biography (Stan Drobac)

Stan Drobac is an independent consultant working primarily in RFID. He develops RFID technology and business strategies for large companies, works with technology startups to focus and position their capabilities, and supports companies and investors in partnering, financing and M&A activities.
 
From 2001-2007, Stan led the development of Avery Dennison's RFID program. He defined the company's strategy, built the initial team, and led the identification and acquisition of new RFID-related technologies and companies. He was an active contributor to the development of the Auto-ID Center and the RFID IP Consortium. Stan previously served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Alien Technology.
 
Stan has an extensive background in advanced electronic technologies, in functions ranging from chip design to marketing to business unit management. In addition to consulting for a variety of large and small organizations, Stan has held key technical, marketing and operational positions at Flextronics, nCHIP, Advanced Micro Devices, Fairchild Semiconductor, and Honeywell Information Systems.
 
Stan holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard.
