Speaker Biography (Christopher Winscom)

Chris is a Principal Scientist at the Kodak European Research Laboratory in Cambridge, UK. He obtained his BSc.and Ph.D degrees from the University of Sheffield, UK, and continued post-doctoral studies at the University of California, Riverside, USA. Prior to joining Kodak R&D in 1988, he was a Senior Research Associate at the Freie Universität Berlin. He is the author of over 45 scientific publications in the fields of optical spectroscopy, magnetic resonance (ESR, ENDOR & ODMR) spectroscopy and photochemistry, involving organic molecules and organometallic complexes. Recent Kodak activities have involved: silver-based passive electronics, powder AC electroluminescence, and OLED materials. He is currently chairman of the Lighting and Backlighting Subgroup of the UK Displays and Lighting Network.
