Mick Davies is an independent ICT consultant with more than 30 years ICT experience, whose emphasis is on the use of smartmedia within the public sector. He is chair of LASSeO and led the standards stream of the National Smart Card Project and is an outgoing SCNF core group member. He has been involved in advising local and central government in the use of these technologies in service delivery. Mick has been highly active in the overlap between transport and other public sector systems and led for LASSeO on a significant intervention in the recent Department for Transport Concessionary travel card scheme resulting in the adoption of a standard card format that allowed travel cards to be used as a platform for other services.
