Presentation Summary

  • Dielectric polyimide ink and high sensitive UV curable ink that are suitable for ink jet printing.
  • Extremely high concentrated polyimide ink, which is potentially applicable to thicker films.
  • Films that are prepared from the developed UV curable ink have significantly higher resistance properties.

Speaker Biography (Hiroyuki Satoh)

Mr. Hiroyuki Satoh is a manager at Goi Research Center of Chisso Petrochemical Corporation in Ichihara, Chiba Japan. He studied catalytic chemistry at Muroran Institute of Technology in Japan and has joined Chisso in 1985. From 1986 to 2001, he was involved in the R&D of the color filter materials applied for the LCDs, and was also involved in negative- and positive-photosensitive resist materials for high-density patterns in the LCDs from 2002 to 2005. Since 2006, he is a manager of a research group that is responsible for the R&D of ink-jetting materials. He has a number of technical publications, as well as EP, US and JP patents in the field of transparent polymer materials that are suitable for the LCDs.

Company Profile (Chisso Corporation)

Chisso Corporation, a $3B global chemical supplier, develops a variety of ink-jet printing inks. Chisso UV curable ink-jet ink is suitable for a variety of applications including fabrication of microlenses with high transparency. Chisso thermal cure polyimide ink-jet ink can be used as an insulating layer in Electroluminescense (EL) devices and can be applied to printed circuit boards, semiconductors and many other applications. The use of Chisso ink is expected to simplify manufacturing processes, lower facility costs and reduce effects on the environment.
