Speaker BiographyMr. Hiroyuki Satoh is a manager at Goi Research Center of Chisso Petrochemical Corporation in Ichihara, Chiba Japan. He studied catalytic chemistry at Muroran Institute of Technology in Japan and has joined Chisso in 1985. From 1986 to 2001, he was involved in the R&D of the color filter materials applied for the LCDs, and was also involved in negative- and positive-photosensitive resist materials for high-density patterns in the LCDs from 2002 to 2005. Since 2006, he is a manager of a research group that is responsible for the R&D of ink-jetting materials. He has a number of technical publications, as well as EP, US and JP patents in the field of transparent polymer materials that are suitable for the LCDs. Company ProfileChisso has been playing a leading role in Japanese chemical industry for over one century. Chisso has 26 subsidiary companies and representatives in five countries. Since the foundation in 1906, Chisso has been making efforts on diversed chemical industries. After the world's first industrialization of ammonium sulfate, we have successively initiated the commercialization of nitric acid, acetic acid syntheses and polyvinyl chloride. Chisso is currently developing a wide range of business with a keyword, "chemistry".
