Speaker Biography (Giovanni Mancini)Giovanni Mancini joined E Ink in June of 2010 where he is the Director of Product Management responsible for their e-Paper product line. Prior to E Ink, he was with The MathWorks for 4 years where he was responsible for the Signal Processing and Communications line of products. Giovanni started his career in the microelectronics group of Bell-Northern Research in Ottawa where he was for 13 years holding a number of engineering and management positions. He has also held a Director of Engineering position with Cadence Design Systems and Director of Product Marketing position with Mentor Graphics. In his career he has launched a number of products including the Incisive HDL Simulator, The Veloce FPGA based emulator and most recently, E Ink Triton which was recently announced at the FPD show in Japan in conjunction with the world's first color e-paper based e-Reader from Hanvon Technologies in China. Giovanni holds an Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Master of Electrical Engineering Degree from McGill University in Montreal.
