Speaker Biography (Henry Yan)

Henry Yan studied at Beijing University where he was selected into an Honor Science Program and obtained the degree of B.S. in chemistry. In the fall of 2000, he started his Ph.D. in Chemistry at Northwestern University focusing at the area of Polymer Light-Emitting Diodes (PLEDs) under the supervision of Prof. Tobin Marks. He also carried out one-year postdoctoral research in the areas of Organic Field-Effect Transistor and Organic Photovoltaics with Prof. Marks until 2005. Then he joined Air Products and Chemicals as a senior research scientist working on PLED materials/product development. In 2006, he started his position of Product Development Manager at Polyera Corporation and is currently leading Polyera's product development effort in the area of printed electronics. Dr. Yan has published about 35 research articles and holds about 10 patents.
