Speaker BiographyMr. De Jong is currently Director Marketing & Business Development at Ambient Systems, a provider of third generation active RFID solutions. Ambient's solutions enable companies to improve process quality and efficiency with real-time visibility on the location and condition of physical goods. Prior to Ambient Systems, Mr. De Jong was RFID Domain Lead at Logica, a major international ICT services company. In this role Mr. De Jong was responsible for developing Logica's international RFID services portfolio. At Logica, Mr. de Jong also advised a range of companies on the application of RFID and wireless sensor technology. Mr. De Jong holds a masters degree in Computer Science and an MBA from the M.I.T. Sloan School of Management in Boston, USA. Company ProfileAmbient Systems is a Dutch privately-owned technology firm that specialises in the development of innovative active RFID technologies based on wireless mesh networks. The company was founded in 2004 by researchers from the University of Twente in The Netherlands, who were developing wireless sensor network technology. The company is now managed by a seasoned team of professionals. Ambient holds a number of patents and has received numerous awards.
