Speaker Biography (Tsukasa Yoshida)Tsukasa Yoshida is an associate professor of Environmental and Renewable Energy Systems Division of Graduate School of Engineering, Gifu University. He is also a leader of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell R&D group of Center of Innovative Photovoltaic Systems. He is specialized in electrochemistry, especially in electrochemical processing of compound semiconductor thin films and their applications to solar energy conversion. He organizes "Universal Solar Cell" consortium to gather activities of the university and industries to develop plastic solar cells with originally developed materials and processes. These new solar cells will find chances for early introduction to the market taking their advantages in design flexibility. Company Profile (Gifu University)Gifu University is a National University Corporation located at the center of Japan's main island, which is the heart of industrial production of Japan. Gifu University founded the Center of Innovative Photovoltaic Systems (CIPS) in 2006 to promote research on solar cells by gathering activities of research groups working in the field of solar cells. |
