Speaker Biography (John Meschter)

Mr. Meschter is a results-oriented and creative engineering professional with proven success in multi-discipline product development, technical innovation and IP creation, manufacturing development, automation, and identification of practical processes for production.

In his current position as the Global Vice President of Production and Manufacturing, he will exercise leadership of large-budget cross-functional product development and manufacturing projects. He will also implement a systems approach to product development and manufacturing that minimizes overall product and capital costs up front, maximizes productivity, and shortens schedule.

Prior to joining G24i, Mr. Meschter was Principal Engineer at MTI Micro Fuel Cells, Inc, where he worked as development team technical manager introducing low power fuel cells to the mass market.

Meschter also held the position of Vice President Engineering, Research and Development for Telemark Engineering, where he recommended a $800k laser die cutting manufacturing system to avoid $3 million rotary die capital equipment. He invented and developed $600k slitting/vialing machine to replace a low reliability $6 million automated system.

Earlier roles included Senior Principal Engineer for Media Systems Development and Senior Engineer for Machinery Engineering Division at the Polaroid Corporation where he conceived and implemented fast-to-market machinery program for entire "I-Zone (tm)" film assembly operation.

Mr. Meschter holds a Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and a Masters in Business Administration from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

He has been awarded nine patents for film product and camera systems.
