Speaker Biography (Mary Kilitziraki)

Dr. Mary Kilitziraki completed her Ph.D. in the Centre of Microelectronics in 1996 from the University of Durham, UK. She then accepted a postdoctoral position in the Physics Department of Durham research ing polymer-OLEDs and later moved to the Netherlands to work for Philips. In her time within Philips, she originally performed research in Polymer Electronics and in 2002 moved to Philips PolyLED where she was undertaking work for the polymer light-emitting material development, in collaboration with international Chemical companies. Since 2006, she is working for TNO and particularly the Holst Centre where she originally coordinated the activities on integrating novel techniques to produce a polymer-OLED lighting foil. Since 2008 she is the co-ordinator of the Integrated Project Fast2light, aimed to be completed July 2011.

Company Profile (Holst Centre)

Holst Centre is an independent centre for open innovation that develops generic technologies and technology platforms for wireless autonomous transducer solutions and systems-in-foil. It is founded in 2005 by the research organizations IMEC and TNO. A key feature is interaction and cooperation with industry and academia. It is this kind of cross-fertilization that enables Holst Centre to tune its scientific strategy to industrial needs.
