Company Profile (Kent Displays)

Kent displays was formed as a technology spin-off company from Kent State University in 1993. The company sold its first products in 1995 that are still in place as signage in Spokane, Washington. The technology development for flexible encapsulated materials started in 2003 and key product lines were launched in 2008. These included eCard for displays in secure credit and other smart cards, eTablet for the ultimate writeable ePaper (see www.myboogieboard.com), and electronic skins for ultimate consumer customization of mobile devices. These truly flexible display product lines are starting to make market entry in 2010 and hold much promise for growth and sustainability.
