Speaker Biography

Joerg Schmidt joined Infineon Technologies in January 2008. He is currently as Business Development Manager Object ID / RFID in charge for the applications 'Healthcare', 'Factory automation' and 'Laundries'. Besides Joerg is the contact person for Infineon's body work within the Object ID segment. Prior to his engagement at Infineon he has worked as Business Development Director for the Munich RFID company Schreiner LogiData for 3.5 years. Joerg started his career in RFID as scientist at the University of Dortmund, department of logistics. In his position as head of the department Trade and Distribution logistics he established the RFID Competence Centre and the LogIDLab. Joerg has studied economics and hold a PhD.
