Dr. Jack Bacon is a key member of the mission management team overseeing the tactical and strategic planning of the International Space Station. As a systems integrator, he works with all technical disciplines in all international partner agencies to assure the safe, optimum performance of the most complicated engineering project in history.

Company Profile

The Johnson Space Center is the heart of the US Space Program's efforts in human space flight. Activities include the selection and training of astronauts, engineers, and mission operators, and coordination of all design and operations aspects of the Space Shuttle, the International Space Station, and future human space exploration initiatives.

Speaker Biography (John Bacon)

Dr. Bacon serves as lead of the Space Environments team of the Vehicle Integrated Performance, Environments, and Resources (VIPER) team in the International Space Station Program Office. He holds a seat on the ISS executive International Mission Management Team, in cooperation with representatives from the crew, flight operations, engineering, flight medicine, payloads, safety, EVA, and Russia, ESA, Japan, and Canada.
