Speaker Biography (Hochul Kang)

Hochul Kang was born in Seoul, Korea, in 1966. He received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Korea University, in 1989, 1995, and 2003, respectively. In 1995, he joined the Hyundai Electronics Co. Ltd., Icheon, Korea, where he was engaged in the research and development of Flash memory devices and processes. He was a visiting scholar of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, IL, from 2000 to 2003, where his research area was thin-film deposition and nano-particle formation using the charged liquid cluster beam technique. In 2003, he joined the LG. Philips LCD Co. Ltd., where he was engaged in the development of LTPS devices and processes. His present research focuses on organic electronics for display.
