* NCA is a statutory agency established under the Framework Act on Informatization Promotion of Korea. We spearhead the deployment of information technology in the public sector and the development of national IT policies.
 
I am responsible for the following:
 
  • Planning and Implementation of RFID Applications & Services
 
  • Planning and Implementation of the Broadband Network for Korea Information Infrastructure (KII) from 1993 to 2005 in Korea.
 
  • Planning & Design of the strategies of the Next Generation Network in Korea
 
  • Consulting on planning and carrying out the ¡°Ipv6 deployment¡± project, and providing policy support for the project from 1999
 
  • Consulting on planning and carrying out the Intelligent Digital Home Networking project, and providing technical policy support for the project from 2002
 
  • Carrying out the Government Information Exchange & Sharing
 
  • Managing of Government Public Key Infrastructure and Certification
 
  • Consulting of the Information System Standards & IT Architecture

National Information Society Agency (NIA)
In a world of newly emerging knowledge and informatization paradigms,

Since its establishment in 1987, NIA sowed the first seeds in an information barren land starting with the construction of the National Basic Systems (NBIS) and has for the past 18 years, continued in its efforts to solidify the foundation upon which Korea could transform itself into a nation strong in knowledge and information it has become today.
