Dr. Gordon Smith is the Chief Technology Officer for GSI Technologies, LLC. As the head of the Functional Printing Division, Gordon has responsibility for ensuring the capabilities at GSI Technologies are best in class by leveraging printing processes and new materials. Gordon has spent the majority of his 15+ year career developing and commercializing unique products within a broad scope of markets including printing & publishing, semiconductors, microelectronics packaging, high density circuits, optical storage, displays, and three dimensional prototyping. Through his career, Gordon has presented at a broad range of conferences covering material science related topics, and is the inventor or co-inventor on 11 US Patents. Gordon holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the Michigan Technological University, and a MS and PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
