Speaker Biography (Chris Bower)

Chris Bower is a principal researcher in materials science at Nokia Research Centre Cambridge, with an interest in multifunctional surfaces, having a combination of properties such as; super-hydrophobic / self-cleaning / colour changing / sensing. Prior to this he worked for 12 years at Kodak on the fundamental physics of multi-layer thin-film coating for sensitized goods, and developed novel, roll-to-roll surface energy patterning, and high resolution liquid patterning technology, for inkjet and flexographic printing.
