Dr Peter Harrop is Chairman of IDTechEx Ltd. He has written many electronics-related management reports for the Financial Times, IDTechEx and other publications. He lectures and provides consultancy globally.

Speaker Biography (Peter Harrop)

Dr Peter Harrop PhD, FIEE is Chairman of IDTechEx Ltd. He was previously Chief Executive of Mars Electronics, the electronics company he took from start up to $260 million without acquisitions, after which it was sold for $500 million. He was Chairman of Pinacl plc, the $100m fibre optic company - a turnaround then sold to Tyco at a substantial return. He has been chairman of over 15 high tech companies. He has written 30 books on technical subjects, these being published by the Financial Times, John Wiley and others. He lectures and consults internationally on electric vehicles, energy harvesting and printed electronics. Peter has acted as expert witness in a High Court case in London concerning electric vehicles that led to an $18 million settlement. He has written analyses of the electric vehicle market for ten years.
