Packaging Applications for Interactivity, Monitoring and Information Transfer

Juha has previously worked in a research company KCL (Finnish Research Insitute for Pulp and Paper). This company is partly owned by Stora Enso Oyj, UPM-Kymmene, Metsäliitto and Myllykoski Paper. Those tasks concentrated on printed intelligence on paper and board. This work now continues in Stora Enso, where he is responsible for Intelligent Solutions in the business unit New Business Innovations/Stora Enso Consumer Boards.

 

He has Graduated from Tampere University of Technology (Finland), 1999 M.Sc. (Tech.) and 2004 D.Sc. (Tech.).

Stora Enso has a long experience of developing solutions for the healthcare industry. These include high-quality packaging boards, award-winning compliance packaging, child resistant blister packaging, specialty boards and consumer packaging. Stora Enso has also worked and added solutions in digital printing to improve on the needs within healthcare to efficiently supply multiple SKU's and variable data through in-line digital printing and converting.

 

New features to improve the compliance control, usability and data transfer via wireless communication are introduced utilising GSM networks. These will lead to more sustainable products and substantial benefits both for the healthcare provider and also for the patients.
