Company Profile (DuPont)

With a team of about 160, the Hong Kong organization is continuing its important role in supporting business development in the mainland, especially in the Pearl River Delta area. Locally, a strong marketing force is marketing named brands, including DuPont™ Teflon® nonstick coating, DuPont™ Zytel® nylon, DuPont™ Tyvek® brand protective apparel, DuPont™ Delrin® acetal resin, DuPont™ Corian® solid surface and etc., to customers. Over the years, the Hong Kong organization has also built up long-term partner relationships with major Hong Kong companies such as Meyer Corporation, major property developers and etc.
 
As part of the efforts to decrease the dependency on fossil fuels, DuPont Apollo Global Thin Film Photovoltaic R&D Center was established at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park in 2009 for the development of amorphous silicon (a-Si) thin film photovoltaic modules. This center is the first project under the "Shenzhen-Hong Kong Innovation Circle", which is spearheaded by the Shenzhen and HKSAR governments in 2007.
 
In June 2010, the DuPont Construction Industry Board was officially formed to serve the Greater
China market as well as to bring solutions for building, construction and design projects in a
variety of sectors-from commercial and residential buildings, to large-scale infrastructures, public spaces, hotels, offices, schools and healthcare facilities. For more than 200 years, DuPont has
been putting leading-edge science to provide innovative solutions for architects, designers, engineers, specifiers and endusers. DuPont is striving to achieve the highest standards of energy
efficiency, safety, durability and innovative design at minimal operational costs: that is the challenge for every architect, engineer, designer and builder.
