  • Formation of microsized aggregates of ZnO nanocrystallites or TiO2 nanotubes by means of solution processing.
  • Significant enhancement of power conversion efficiency (~300%) through effective light scattering by microsized aggregates while retaining desired specific surface area for dye molecule adsorption.
  • Power conversion efficiency higher than 11% is anticipated when the popcorn structure and surface chemistry is successfully optimized.

講演者の経歴 (Guozhong Cao)

Dr. Guozhong Cao is Boeing-Steiner Professor of Materials Science and Engineering and Adjunct Professor of Chemical and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Washington. He received his PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology (the Netherlands). He has published over 200 refereed papers, and authored and edited 4 books and 3 conference proceedings on nanotechnology. Currently, Dr. Cao serves as editor of Annual Review of Nano Research and associate editor of Journal of Nanophotonics. His current research is focused mainly on nanomaterials for energy related applications including solar cells, lithium ion batteries, supercapacitors and hydrogen storage materials.
