Speaker Biography (Sabine Renker)Dr. Sabine Renker works since October 2005 for Merck KGaA in Darmstadt where she started as Head of Laboratory in the filed of nano-particle development for UV-protection for coatings. Today she works in the department Advanced Technologies - Innovation management as a project manager, responsible for the joined R&D lab of Merck and TU Darmstadt called MerckLab. It was established in 2006 and focuses on the development of printed inorganic electronics. Company Profile (Merck KGaA)Merck (in the US: EMD) is a global pharmaceutical and chemical enterprise with around 33,000 employees in 60 countries and total revenues of € 7.6 billion (2008). The Pharmaceuticals business sector comprises innovative prescription drugs as well as over-the-counter products.
