Speaker Biography (Xiachang Zhang)

Xiachang Zhang got Doctor Degree of Technology in 1995 from Helsinki University of Technology. He is an honorary professor. He has experi-ences in the bioprocess, biological fuel cell, and low power source devel-opment for 20 years. He together with others established Enfucell Ltd. 2002 to develop the thin flexible power source for low current electronic device. He is the inventor of SoftBattery. He got an award as one of the 10 most influential international Chinese 2006 organized in Beijing March 2007 by PhoenixTV and other 9 major Chinese media in the world. His company got awards as one of the Technology Pioneer 2007 by World Economic Forum and as one of top 100 European potential private tech-nology companies based in the EMEA by RED Herring.

Company Profile (Enfucell)

With main focus on printed electronics, Enfucell is a Finnish technology company with roots in the Helsinki University of Technology (today the Aalto University School of Science and Technology). Enfucell has developed SoftBattery®, a thin, flexible environmentally friendly and printable 1.5 - 6 V power source to be utilized in disposable and short lifetime products like RFID, micro sensors, displays, OLEDs, functional packaging and media, cosmetic and pharmaceutical transdermal delivery systems.
