Prior to joining CDT in 2006, Eric served as CEO of NanoMagnetics which developed high-density magnetic media for the data storage industry alongside a diversified materials portfolio. He has been a Non-Executive Director in a variety of technology firms including a current role in water purification firm, Apaclara Ltd. A US native, Eric holds a BSc in Physics from Arkansas State University and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Bath. Company Profile (Cambridge Display Technology (CDT))Cambridge Display Technology, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Chemical, leads the development of display technology based on solution processable organic light emitting diodes (P-OLEDs). P-OLEDs offer superior performance characteristics to other display technologies, such as liquid crystal displays, in many applications. P-OLEDs are already in commercial use, and are expected to be used in mobile applications, televisions and lighting. CDT owns key intellectual property around P-OLED materials, devices and processes, such as inkjet printing, which are used in the manufacture of P-OLED displays. |
