John Greaves is vice president, RFID Solutions, NCR Corporation. He reports to Lee Schram, senior vice president of NCR's Retail Solutions Division of NCR, and the company's executive sponsor for radio frequency identification (RFID).
 
Greaves heads NCR's global RFID consulting practice, helping retailers and manufacturers define and navigate the RFID course that best meets their individual goals. He also provides strategic leadership to NCR's RFID initiatives across all company divisions, bringing to bear a full range of products and services designed to maximize the company's RFID investment. NCR addresses RFID implementation from production through the point of sale by providing RFID labeling solutions, store consulting, global installation and support services and Teradata data warehousing and analytics.
 
Prior to joining NCR, Greaves led the Global RFID Technology Integration consulting practice at Deloitte Touche, where he designed and developed numerous cross-spectrum RFID solutions for companies worldwide. He was the founding chairman of USA RFID Standards, and served as director-general of the European UHF RFID Spectrum Allocation Initiative to modify the allocation and use of UHF for short-range devices in Europe.
