  • For the use in trains, the OLED technology has to fulfill a number of standards.

講演者の経歴 (Dietmar Czekay)

In 1996, he commenced studies of electrical engineering at Technische Universität Dresden (TU) and graduated in 2001 with a study about "The Switching Behaviour Of CoolMOS Transistors In Combination With Silicon Carbide Diodes".
Afterwards, he went into PhD studies with Siemens AG and succeded with a PhD degree in completing the research about "Electronic Ballasts With Working Frequencies Above 2.5 MHz And 50 W Electrical Output Power".
Beneath all his work and studies, he is managing a local rowing club and sometimes even manages to step into his boat himself.

SBf Spezialleuchten Wurzen, founded in 1892, is one of Germany's main manufacturers of interior lighting for rolling stock. You will find lighting systems made by SBf in all kinds of trains from suburban and double decker to highspeed trains, such as Velaro E and Transrapid.
A team of 10 engineers creates custom solutions, specific to clients requirements.
Since 2007, SBf is delivering the first LED based interior lighting for the passenger areas in Bombardiers double decker trains. This lighting system can now also be found in Stadler tramways. In the near future, it will shed its light also in suburban trains.
