講演者の経歴 (Andy McBain)

Andy joined Symbol Technologies in 1994 to run the newly created UK Customer Technical Help Desk. Previously Andy worked for Symbol's first UK distributor, Numeric Arts, and prior to that an Electronic Research and Design company.

Two years later Andy was promoted to a Pre Sales role looking after the UK Partner base and in 1998 he moved into a product support function.

Andy joined the newly formed UK Product Marketing group in 1999 and in two years he was promoted to head the team. During that period Andy specialised in scanning and RFID technologies.

In 2003 Andy joined the EMEA Product Marketing team to focus on the Enterprise Mobile Device market. His unique experience and knowledge of Symbol's solutions, verticals and markets made him ideally suited for this role.

In 2005 Andy also picked up RFID across EMEA, from a Product Management standpoint, and is helping to develop the technology adoption across the theatre.

In 2006 Andy was promoted to his current position and continues to drive opportunities and products across EMEA for the Enterprise Mobility Division of Motorola, who acquired Symbol Technologies in January 2007.

In his spare time Andy is an active member of the Scout Association, enjoys hill walking and spending time with his two children.
