Speaker Biography

Karl Brooks joined the IT department at British Airways in January 1988 after graduating with a Mathematical Sciences BSc degree. He has performed many roles from programmer to analyst to project manager and in many different business areas from passenger revenue accounting to fuel planning and purchasing to airport planning to innovations. He is currently an Innovations Consultant within the Technology Exploitation team, part of the IT and Business Change department. The role consists of promoting and often demonstrating the use of new and innovative technologies direct into the business. His particular technological interests are in Biometrics, RFID and Mobile Technologies
