Room Temperature Deposition of Transparent Conducting Oxides (TCO) on Plastics

 

The principal interest of Prof. Taliani is in soft matter nano-technologies for application in information technologies, renewable energy sources and pollution control. He has published more than 238 scientific papers on international refereed journals, has received more than 4000 citations, is author of more then 10 patents, has given more than 140 invited talks and conferences on approximately 250 presentations at conferences. He has been member of several committees (advisory boards) of international conferences and has organized more than 22 congresses, workshops and international schools. Acts regularly as referee of research proposals and international journals and is member of several scientific associations.

Organic Spintronics Srl (OS) has developed a unique thin film fabrication technology that exploits the benefits offered by organic semiconductors. Having developed a novel approach to the use of organic semiconductors by achieving room temperature operation, OS is on the forefront of spintronics-based innovation for sensing applications as well as on materials and thin film deposition techniques.

 

OS was established in 2003 as a spin-off company of the Institute for Nanostructured Materials Studies, (ISMN), of the Italian National Research Council (CNR), Bologna Division. OS is today a fully private owned company operating in the field of nanotechnology and is actively engaged in research and development (R&D) and in the commercialization of technologies for the development of innovative thin film fabrication processes for organic semiconductors.
