Speaker Biography (Christl Lauterbach)

Christl Lauterbach founded Future-Shape GmbH, Germany in 2005 and has been Managing Director since then. From 2003 to 2005 she was Project Manager for large-area smart textiles at Infineon's Corporate Research, Germany. From 1999 to 2003 she worked as a Senior Staff Engineer at Infineon Technologies AG, Germany, in the Emerging Technologies Group. From 1977 to 1999 she was with Corporate Technology, Siemens AG, Germany, in the Microelectronics Group designing circuits for chip cards and in the Photonics Group working on research and development of semiconductor technology and photonic devices. Christl Lauterbach holds an assistant degree for Communication Engineering.

Future-Shape transforms the vision of Ambient Assisted Living into useful, practicable applications. We regard the development of simple but robust user interfaces for such complex systems to be one of the biggest challenges facing the technology of tomorrow. We specialize in sensor systems which can be seamlessly integrated into large surfaces such as floors, glass panels and walls and so give these surfaces entirely new functions.
