Speaker Biography

Jos Geboers qualified as an Electronic Engineer after which he took up a position with the Philips Research Laboratory in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, where he worked for a number of years on the research and development of semiconductors.
In 1978 he joined the Philips Semiconductors division where he was involved in the design of Integrated Circuits for applications in telecommunications, rising to the position of Application Manager for Telecommunication ICs in the Asian Pacific before his departure in 1994. He then founded ECCT BV in Eindhoven. ECCT is a company, which specialises in the development of telecommunication equipment and medical consumer electronic devices. In his capacity as Chief Technology Officer he leads a team of engineers in the design of telecom terminals and their innovative use in various application areas. In 2005 he co-founded The Compliers Group BV which is dedicated to the development of diagnostic-, telemedicine-, and consumer medical devices for use in objective therapy compliance measurements.

Company Profile

The Compliers Group, TCG B.V., was founded in 2005 by Jos Geboers and Willem Kort and is dedicated to the research, development and marketing of its patented drug therapy compliance measurement systems and wireless medical telecommunication devices for consumers. TCG's latest innovation is a self-adhesive RFID enabled label that can be applied to existing, standard medication blister packs for the purposes of Objective therapy Compliance Measurement (OtCM). The mission of the company is to further develop, to position, to market and to sell OtCM systems which will be included in standard medication packages during the manufacturing process. This will lead to the mass production of electronic medication blister packages that enable the measurement (monitoring) of the patient's compliance with a prescribed medication therapy, using standard, existing medication blister packaging techniques.
