Speaker Biography (Tim Drysdale)

Tim Drysdale received the BE(1st Class Honours, University Prize) (1998) and PhD (2003) degrees from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
 
In 2006 he was appointed as a lecturer in the Electronics Design Centre at the University of Glasgow. His research interests include radio frequency and terahertz devices and he currently leads a Scottish Enterprise Proof of Concept commercialisation project on chipless smart labels. He led an exhibit at the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition 2006, in London, Glasgow and Buckingham Palace. In 2007, he was a top-three finalist in the Air New Zealand, New Zealander of the Year Award.
