Speaker Biography (Michel Jongerius)

Dr. Michel J. Jongerius - PhD in Physics (1981). He has 14 years experience in R&D at Philips Research Laboratories in the fields of Gaseous Discharge Electronics, Laser Physics, and Optics. In his final years at Research, he started research on High Resolution Printing Technology, which he continued as group leader of the Printing & Decoration group at Philips CFT in 1995-2001. In that period, he has also contributed and managed several European projects in this field (Lactel, Printracon, and HiReCiPri). Since 2001, he is manager in the Advanced Competence Development programme in Systems in Package at Philips Applied Technologies, and recently contributed and managed an EU integrated project on Evolvable Ultraprecision Assembly Technology (EUPASS).
