Speaker BiographyToshiki Yamada received his Ph.D degree in engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology on September in 1996. Subsequently after the Ph.D degree, he worked at Kyushu University as a postdoctoral researcher in Advanced Science and Technology Center for Cooperative Research, Japan Science and Technology Corporation (CREST-JST). In 1999, he was appointed to be a researcher in Kansai-Advanced Research Center, Communications Research Laboratory, and in 2002 to be a senior researcher. In 2004, National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, an incorporated administrative agency, was established by merging Communications Research Laboratory and Telecommunications Advancedment Organization. He has been a senior researcher in Kobe Advanced ICT Research Center, National Institute of Information and Communication Technology (KARC-NICT). He is a member of the Japanese Society of Applied Physics. Company ProfileNational Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) is the sole national research institute in the information and communications field. Kobe Advanced ICT Research Center (KARC) in NICT is a basic research center in the field of biotechnology, brain information technology, nanotechnology, superconducting technology, and quantum information technology, for applying them to future information and communications technologies.
