Speaker Biography (Rik Wagter)Rik Wagter is a marketeer, product- and concept developer, working on the intersection of innovation and communication. He is an out-of-the-box thinker with a strategic appetite for applying new technologies and materials into new media products. After working in (online) advertising, he established several companies, in development and consulting. As innovator he worked on media-hardware, software, online games and consumergoods. As consultant he helps companies spotting trends, develop strategic PMC's, as well as branding and marketing campaigns. He is currently active in the area of (sustainable) DOOH media with flexible displays, smart textiles and energy harvesting techniques Company Profile (Opalio)Opalio tm is a marketing & innovation agency. We invent, design and deploy new media for digital signage and digital out of home (DOOH). We develop exciting media and media strategies, for events, venues, airports, and retail. Opalio is based in the Netherlands and organised as a "distributed medialab": a flexible network of professionals in Benelux, Germany and the UK. ECOOH tm We believe that out-of-home advertising will play an important role in developing smarter cities, reducing carbon emission and establishing sustainable growth.
