Speaker Biography (Panu Helisto)Panu Helistö received his Dr. Tech. degree in technical physics from the Helsinki University of Technology (TKK), in 1987. He holds presently a chief research scientist position at VTT and leads the quantronics team at the Sensors and wireless devices centre of VTT. He has developed sensor technology and low cost printed electronics for several years. In addition he develops applications of superconducting electronics. Company Profile (VTT Technical Research Centre)VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland is a globally networked multitechnological contract research organization. VTT has taken a wide R&D approach to RFID and wireless sensing, which is supported by extensive interdisciplinary know-how and in-house technology platforms. Our activities cover RFID and wireless systems from low frequency to mm-waves. VTT develops novel solutions to improve the performance level of RFID systems. Modern equipment and excellent facilities, like micro- and nanofabrication services and anechoic chambers, provide exceptional opportunities for the fabrication and characterization of components. VTT is collaborating with many of the key European players in the field of RFID. |
