Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is the application of certain wavelengths of light to deliver beneficial effects on the human body.

This presentation explores the history of PDT, its champions and the role of plastic electronics for the medical sector.

Three areas of PDT will be discussed: skin

rejuvenation, muscle therapy and non malignant skin cancer.

Speaker Biography (Stephen Clemmet)

Stephen Clemmet is a chartered engineer of sixteen years experience in high-technology electronics industry. Having been involved in designing computer systems and intelligent ultraviolet curing systems, he co-founded Polymertronics, a UV-inkjet OLED business, in 2005. Stephen has since formed E2M Technology. A company that has diversifying interest in applications for printable

electronics. Stephen holds an MSc degree in Medical Physics and a BEng degree in Electronic Systems Engineering.
