Chris is Kodak European Research's Technology Development Manager with a brief to identify new technologies and suitable partners (companies and universities) for collaborative research. Chris also works closely with the venture arm of Eastman Kodak - Kodak External Alliances, to identify suitable investment opportunities in Europe

 

Recently Chris moved to Cambridge to set up Kodak's new Research Centre which opened in January 2006. Currently, he is looking after the European printing research project portfolio, in addition to his technology scouting role. Chris has 20 granted US Patents and a number of publications.

 

Chris holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of East Anglia. Most of his career has been in materials design and synthesis within Research and Development, with particular emphasis on imaging, printing and display applications.

Additionally he spent 4 years working in Kodak Consumer Imaging's Marketing Department as UK Brand manager for paper, chemistry and photofinishing equipment, and subsequently took on responsibility for retail developing and printing. He then moved to the European region as Growth Manager for retail solutions, looking after the digital equipment portfolio. He was also involved with the identification and development of new growth opportunities for Emerging Markets. Chris has spent one year working in Kodak's Research Centre in France and another year working for Kodak's US Research Laboratories.
