Speaker Biography

Oriane Gatin is a project manager specialising in WSN technologies and applications from the Innovation & Research Department of SNCF, the French railway company. Oriane aims to develop WSN in the railway sector, leading to intelligent transport systems, predictive maintenance and efficient ways to make measures in a harsh industrial environment. Oriane has been involved in, and has led several projects which resulted in field experiments on high speed trains, regional trains and freight trains. Energy harvesting systems represent a great opportunity for railway applications, especially those based on vibrations to power embedded sensors.
