Lithops Lithops is an Italian business venture focusing on the production of Li-ion batteries. Their expected capacity output is 200 MWh/year. History -Lithops was founded in 2010 as a lithium-ion technology developer and provider with a vertical approach, from the raw material synthesis up to cell assembly
-Since the beginning, Lithops has a strong partnership with Turin's Polytechnic.
-Initially funded by private investors, the Italian Government and the EU, in late 2015 it was acquired by SERI Industrial S.p.a. though its subsidiary company FIB S.r.l., a company that is active in the lead-acid battery business (owner of FAAM Brand).
-In 2012, the company started its dry room facility and has been scaling up battery production ever since.
