HAP2U IDTechEx met hap2u in the Eureka park exhibition at CES. They produce a haptic touch screen using piezoelectric actuators to provide tactile response to certain actions. This profile discussed their technology and progress. History Hap2u is a company of around 7 people based in Grenoble, France, and with an additional site in Taiwan. They have developed a technology based on a haptic touch screen, integrating actuators in the screen to provide haptics sensations corresponding to different touch actions from the user.
They were formally founded in 2015, but they told us that this had followed 6 years of research to optimize the solution. We spoke with CTO Eric Vezzoli (also a founder of Go Touch VR), as well as their CEO Dr Cedrick Chappaz at CES 2017. HAP2U
