Welbean James Hayward interviewed Welbean in CES's Eureka Park. They have developed a wearable sensing device used for acoustic sensing of the heart for characterisation and diagnostics. History Welbean are a Silicon Valley-based startup commercializing a wearable acoustic sensor for medical diagnostics and monitoring. Their products is called the Heartscope. James Hayward spoke with them at their booth in CES 2017's Eureka Park.
The company was founded in 2015, with the hardware prototype completed in May 2015, and first mobile app testing in December 2015. Algorithm testing was then completed in March 2016, before opening pre-orders for the Heartscope. When we spoke to them at CES 2017, they told me they had landed their first large order, for which manufacturing would start in February 2017 for March 2017 delivery.
