Talga Resources Ltd

Talga Resources Ltd Talga Resources is an Australian public company possessing mines in Sweden that yield highly graphitic and conductive ores that can be directed exfoliated into graphene. History Talga Resources started in 2010 and in 2011 picked up its mining assets (shown below) in Sweden. It now claims to possess the 'largest sources of graphite defined in Europe'. Talga then believed that graphene 'was being commercialized faster than people thought'. Indeed, they say that 'they met enough companies that were doing advanced work and that they thought it an easy substitute' but the 'problem was around cost and volume of supply'. This is why Talga has set its eye on removing the cost and volume barriers in the graphene industry. Talga is now focused on graphite and its derivatives, and the company is deliberately vertically integrated covering all steps from mines to graphene production to graphene intermediary/application development. The graphite mines are currently located in Sweden whilst the pilot plant is in Germany and product development in Cambridge, UK (note the product development team worked at Tata Steel on graphene before joining Talga). Australia is the place where they have publicly raised money but all assets in Australia are sold off. #-# Talga Resources Ltd
