ESMA is an Association of European manufacturers of screen, digital and pad printing equipment and supplies.

 

The members account for the majority of supplies of machinery and consumables made to the specialist printing industry in Europe. ESMA's objectives are to promote adoption and correct use of the various specialist printing processes through seminars, press, public relations, technical training and research into the specific requirements of printing and imaging technologies used in industrial and graphic processes. These objectives are handled by four working committees.

UK Displays and Lighting Network was launched in April 2006 as part of the DTI - "Knowledge Transfer Networks' programme. UKDL is a vibrant central hub of activity for the displays and lighting community. The Welsh Centre for Printing and Coating (WCPC) is dedicated to researching printing and coating as a manufacturing process. WCPC undertakes research on all aspects of printing and coating and has a core activity on printing for electronics manufacture. Its international reputation and expertise has led to £3M investment in all printing processes in clean room conditions. This unique facility allows electronic fabrication by flexo, gravure, inkjet, screen and offset lithography to be carried out on sheet or reel. Manufacturing capabilities are matched to state of the art metrology for rheology, material properties, surface topography and electronic characterisation.
