PolyIC produces printed electronics in a high-speed printing process. Printed electronics means that in a printing process electrical conducting and semi conducting plastics, so called polymers, are applied in several layers on a polyester film. The printing process is conducted in an exactly defined design so that electronic devices can be created. These devices are integrated, for example, into a RFID (radio frequency identification) tag. PolyIC's product line for RFID is called PolyID. Printed electronics makes low-cost RFID tags possible that can be used for mass applications.
